Semen Freezing Fees 2017, For each dog:
ICSB-IA File Set Up Fee: $45
ICSB-IA Semen Storage: $79
Semen Freezing Up to 4 Breeding Units: $240
Semen Freezing Fee per Unit over 4: $60
Each individual dog can produce anywhere from zero to 20+ breedings from a single collection depending on their sperm count. Each breeding (called a breeding unit) contains a specific number of live, motile sperm evaluated after being frozen then thawed. The file set up fee is a one time fee charged per dog to establish an account with ICSB-IA as well as register all future collections with AKC or your registry service. Semen Storage fee is billed annually, per dog and will cover future freezings done at a later time, up to 30 breeding units per dog. A freezing of 1 to 4 breeding units is billed out at $240 with any additional units frozen billed at $60 each.
There is a fee of $135 to cover a collection and count that is not viable and does not result in freezable sperm. This cost covers the materials and time we spend to collect, evaluate and count the sperm as well as the charge for the items we must have ready in order to provide a freezing.
Breed sperm numbers are determined by research performed over many years by Carol Platz of ICSB. The number varies based on the size/breed of dog and are counted by thawing a single pellet to determine the % of sperm that live through the freezing process.

OFA Radiographs, Digital with No Sedation:
In 2009 we were lucky enough to be able to purchase a direct digital radiograph machine. We are able to take OFA radiographs and instantly see the positioning and make adjustments. This allows us to radiograph most dogs for hips, elbows and shoulders with no sedation.
