Radiology and Ultrasonography at Northwest Veterinary Hospital
Whether your pet has an injury or illness, diagnostic imaging is of utmost importance. At NWVH we have a new Fovea digital x-ray machine that allows us to take 95% of our radiographs without sedating the pet. The images are viewable in less than 3 seconds, not waiting for a film to be processed. Using patience, positioning aids and a gentle touch we are able to get the best quality radiographs available anywhere in the area.
Our Universal Color Doppler Ultrasound machine has been a great addition to our practice as well. We are able to look for foreign bodies that have been swallowed, tumors in internal organs, bladder stones, kidney stones, check for pregnancy, check for fetal viability, as well as monitoring the size of problem organs such as kidneys, spleen or liver to see if they are becoming larger or smaller over time. There are too many uses of our ultrasound to possibly mention them all.
